Hello all of you wonderful people! Welcome to my humble stop on the awesomely-awesome Tsar’s Guard Parade! As I hate assumptions (you know what they make out of you and me) I’m going to get all of the technical and explanation stuff out of the way so we can get on to the fun stuff.
The Tsar’s Guard Parade is a several month long parade of blogs to celebrate one of the most anticipated books of 2016 – The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye!
Now for the fun stuff! It can be no surprise if you have talked to or read anything on my blog (again, assumptions) but if you haven’t and are new, I love fantasy! One of the things that I love most about fantasy is magic. I don’t have enough words to describe how much I love magic and as The Crown’s Game showcase Enchanters who are gifted in various different ways. Now because I have a love for magic and The Crown’s Game makes my mouth water at the magical possibilities I am here to share with you:
What powers would I have if I was an Enchanter:
Oh boy, because I’ve loved magic for so long this is a question that I have pondered and pondered over many moons. After thinking long and hard (and pulling out my extensive list of movies and books) I have finally narrowed it down to two. Yes, you will notice something about these two powers and what might have inspired them (and hilarious but I won’t go comic book geek on you) but here they are;
You guessed it, my first choice would be teleportation. Considering my issue with anxiety and driving I feel that this power would be the most beneficial thing to me to have.
Think about it, apart from kicking butts, teleportation is probably one of the most useful powers that you can have. “Honey, we’re out of milk” “Don’t worry about it hun, I have it!” BAM there and back again without a thought.
2. With Skin Shifting Who Needs Zit Cream
My second choice would be the ability to morph myself to appear like anyone else I would like. Now, this power isn’t practical but it sure is fucking awesome. Not only would I have the ability to look like and blend into any environment, but I would have the ability to take care of nasty surprise that show up in the mirror when I wake up. Yes, it’s a vain power, but you can’t always be perfect can you?
As I said, for those of you who know comics you know that I used two X-Men as my inspiration for my powers. For those who have only watched the movies here is a little trivia. Nightcrawler is Mystique’s son. BOOM!
With that being said, we need to get back to business. I know that you must have had tons of fun and let me know what you think of my powers down below. After that, make sure that you check out the rest of the parade here! You can also click the banner and it will take you to where you need to be.

Vika Andreyeva can summon the snow and turn ash into gold. Nikolai Karimov can see through walls and conjure bridges out of thin air. They are enchanters—the only two in Russia—and with the Ottoman Empire and the Kazakhs threatening, the Tsar needs a powerful enchanter by his side.
And so he initiates the Crown’s Game, an ancient duel of magical skill—the greatest test an enchanter will ever know. The victor becomes the Imperial Enchanter and the Tsar’s most respected adviser. The defeated is sentenced to death.
Raised on tiny Ovchinin Island her whole life, Vika is eager for the chance to show off her talent in the grand capital of Saint Petersburg. But can she kill another enchanter—even when his magic calls to her like nothing else ever has?
For Nikolai, an orphan, the Crown’s Game is the chance of a lifetime. But his deadly opponent is a force to be reckoned with—beautiful, whip smart, imaginative—and he can’t stop thinking about her.
And when Pasha, Nikolai’s best friend and heir to the throne, also starts to fall for the mysterious enchantress, Nikolai must defeat the girl they both love . . . or be killed himself.
As long-buried secrets emerge, threatening the future of the empire, it becomes dangerously clear . . . the Crown’s Game is not one to lose.
Evelyn Skye was once offered a job by the C.I.A., she not-so-secretly wishes she was on “So You Think You Can Dance,” and if you challenge her to a pizza-eating contest, she guarantees she will win. When she isn’t writing, Evelyn can be found chasing her daughter on the playground or sitting on the couch, immersed in a good book and eating way too many cookies. THE CROWN’S GAME is her first novel. Evelyn can be found online at www.evelynskye.com and on Twitter @EvelynSkyeYA.
And without further ado, here is the giveaway!
