One of the most exciting thing about the New Year is that I get to participate in challenges. My humble blog started out in the middle of the year and technically no one said that I COULDN’T have joined then but I felt that if I did I’d be so behind! The first two that I am going to mention are from the lovely Bekka over at pretty deadly review!
First, is the Holiday Bingo which I think is such an awesome idea. Each quarter a new bingo card is released with different categories. The gist of it is that you complete as many of the categories to make as many bingos as possible. It’s pretty self explanatory, but still fun none the less! This will be my first time participating and I’m super excited!
The second challenge from pretty deadly review is the The Backlist Books Reading challenge. Now this one I am SUPER excited about because it involves reading older books. Something that I’ve noticed is that since I’ve started book blogging that there is an added pressure to start to read newer releases and be a part of the crowd that gets the fresh and new. But I feel that older books get overlooked and I want to stop that. That is where the Backlist Book challenge comes in to play. The premise is that from January 1st 2016 to December 31st 2016 you read books that are one year or older then when you start them. So if it’s January 1st 2016, the book that you’re reading must have been published in 2014 or earlier. Sounds fun right?
If you’re interested in either one of these challenges I’ve linked both of these challenges for you and I hope that you can join the fun!
