Anticipation is the Spice of Life| Top Ten Tuesdays

Another try

Well, it’s that time again for Top Ten Tuesday hosted by The Broke and Bookish. This weeks topic is:

Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases For The First Half of 2016

Top Ten 2 series

The Raven King|Maggie Stiefvater|The Raven Cycle

I have been waiting for this one all year. Yes, it might be less time then people who have been following this trilogy from the start but I am no less chomping at the bit to see how everything ends. I’ve been purposely waiting to read Blue Lily, Lily Blue until it gets closer for The Raven Kings release so it’s about time for me to pick it up!

The Winners Kiss|Marie Rutkoski|Winners Curse Series

This book has had some controversy due to the cover changes that where planned for these books. Thankfully, Fierce Reads has listen to the readers and now the covers will continue to match. Besides this, this book has been on my anticipated list for quite some time. Like The Raven Cycle, I might be behind the game but this series will definitely be one of my favorites.

Beloved2(In which I Have Not Read Any)

Outrun the Moon|Stacy Lee|Under a Painted Sky

The thing that drew me to Outrun the Moon was the diverse aspect. It does not seem like a normal, cookie cutter, sort of plot and that is refreshing to me. I definitely am going to add Under the Painted Sky to my TBR.

The Forbidden Orchid| Sharon Biggs Waller|A Mad, Wicked Folly

Again, I haven’t Sharon’s other work A Mad, Wicked Folly but I am on a historical fiction kick and so I will definitely be reading it sooner rather than later. The fact that The Forbidden Orchid is also historical fiction and has my favorite flower in the name, sign me up!

The Imposter Queen|Sarah Fine|Of Metal and Wishes Series

With Sarah Fine’s Of Metal and Wishes series I was never drawn to it, maybe because I never really liked The Phantom of the Ophera so a sort of retelling of it didn’t hit my radar. But Fine’s new book The Impostor Queen does; kick ass heroines, magic, and deception. My body is tingling with anticipation for this book!

5 debut

The Girl from Everywhere| Heidi Heilig

I love history and so anything that deals with time travel and visiting foreign nations and other periods of time will be an instant must read. Plus, this book features a diverse cast of characters from what I’ve heard so double points for me!

Rebel of the Sands| Alwyn Hamilton

Wow, have I heard things about this book. I am buzzing with excitement to finally be able to read this book. I’m not going to lie, I haven’t heard too much about the plot which is seriously a good thing!

The Forbidden Wish| Jessica Khoury

An Aladdin tale where the gene is a girl? Consider me anticipating this book for sure! I love fairy tale retelling and I love gender bending ones (that is if they are done right)!

Into The Dim|Janet B. Taylor

Like I said above for The Girl From Everywhere, books about time traveling to other time periods is an instant must read. So when I heard about this book and Eleanor of Aquitaine I instantly had to get my hands on it!
