Top Ten Tuesday: Author Duos and Their Imagined Book Babies

Top Ten Tuesday
Hosted by: The Broke and Bookish

It’s that time of week again! I haven’t done Top Ten Tuesday for awhile (note my previous post). This makes me sad because I love trying to figure out how I would answer The Broke and Bookish’s questions for the week. This weeks prompt asks which author duos would you like to see collaborate and what kind of books do you think that they should write. Some of these have specific genres of books, but most of these authors if they ever made a book together I would by it even if it was a mathematics book (I’m kidding, no, no I’m not).

1. Libba Bray & Victoria Schwab

What Kind of Book Should They Write:   Historical Fiction
Why: With Libba’s ability to create and weave times long forgotten and Victoria’s ability to create awesome (and terrifying) characters this book would be one to not miss!

2. Brandon Sanderson & Patrick Rothfuss

What Kind of Book: Epic fantasy of course!
Why: Do I even need to explain why this would be such a good idea. Please, please do this someday!

3. Rick Riordan and J.K Rowling

What Kind of Book: Any kind of book they’d like!
Why: Could you blame me for wanting these two to collaborate? These two have created behemoth series that have taken the world by storm but what makes these authors one of my favorites is how many children they got to read their series. Could you imagine if they wrote a book together?

4. Maggie Stiefvater & Victoria Schwab

What Kind of Book: I have no idea, but whatever it would be would be pure magic!
Why: I know, I know, I’ve used Victoria Schwab twice but I had to do it. These two authors are so good at world building and just sucking you into their stories. The idea of them creating a world together would probably just blow my mind.

5. Leigh Bardugo & Marissa Meyer

What Kind of Book:  Again, whatever these two would want to make!
Why: What can I say other than this would be such a different kind of book that I would just love to see what came of it.

So, technically I have listened 9 authors here combined. I know that there are many more authors that would make good collaborators but I can’t think of any. Honestly most of them are a combination of these 10 authors and it would get pretty repetitive fast. So here you go, here is my list. What do you think of it.
